NSW WTB: Golf MK4 automatic gearbox

had some bad news from the mechanic that the gearbox is about to break and has been making very strange noises that it is scary to drive. looking to replace the gearbox for my 2002 Golf MK4 2.0. Automatic transmission. im located in wollongong and hour south of sydney. trying to find one in wollongong region hopefully, but am able to travel as far as sydney.

is anyone selling one, or know someone selling one, or even know a place that might have one?

cheers. gave him a call and hes looking around for one now and said it will be around $1500. had a look myself online and other places ive been and so far found one for $950 but i think i can work it down a bit.

You get what you pay for. Make sure you get good warranty. And who pays to remove it and return it if used cheapo box is no good?
