Snap on is $66 for a single bit from snapon, $68 for a set of 3 m14/16/18 from a specialist, or chance using an m12 from total tools.
Gav you're correct. I haven't seen an m14 in a cheap set anywhere. It would appear as though Australia's supply m14 spline bits has been exhausted and no one expects stock until mid jan. oh well, off to buy a set of three!

There is nothing worse than when you break the cheap socket in the engine bay or somewhere else and smash some very expensive component, which can cost you 10x more than what you’ve saved.Performance Tunes from $850Wrecking RS OCTAVIA 2 Link

Sometimes you have to spend big, other times you have to buy what will do the job knowing that it might get used once every few years. My tool kit is a mixture of expensive quality (Stahwille, bahco, etc) & some really cheap but sturdy Supercheap Auto type stuff (black 6 point sockets & ratchets) and some mid-range stuff (KC tools). Some of my tools are now 33yrs old & still used regularly, others can go years between outings. It's about fitness for purpose.carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic
