  • SA 35-40mm Lowered Springs wanted for 2001 Mk4 Bora 2.0l

Hi Guys, as stated I am looking for either unused or low km springs. I want no lower than 40mm.
    To suit a 2001 Mk4 Bora 2.0 sedan.
Have to redo the suspension on a very tight budget so if you have anything let me know
At this stage I have to do control arm bushes, struts/shocks, springs, ball joints ect ect

    Thanks in advance

remember putting that sort of drop on stock struts will wear them quicker or finish them off.
eibach do a cheap 30mm spring from memory.

keep in mind your bora may have sagged over time (what KM does it have?), so a 40mm set of drop springs may turn out to only be 25-30mm

Thanks. I am probably getting Koni STR.T struts and shocks. The write up says they are ok for lowered springs. I was not going to put them in with my old worn shocks In fact I am being very cautious about what I am doing. Looking at brand like TRW and Lemforder for tie rods' ends, ball joints ect. And will probably be fitting the R32/TT rear control arm bushes with superpro fronts (Supposed to be better than stock but not as harsh as other poly) As for sag..the car has just clocked 19000Km's so there will be sag. If I am having to replace everything I may as well close up the tyre/arch gap a little.

How many K's on the eibach springs and if you could find out how much to post to 5084 in SA that would be great

OK just saw the thread where you had the springs up for sale. If they have only 25kms on them I will take them in a heartbeat. Had a look and found a couple of references that said that the 1.8T springs fit in a 2.0 so good there. Now to just work out postage and how to pay .......that is unless my car gets fire bombed like my step sons. Had a guy come around just before threatening that the Finks would be around and torch the house and everyone in it if stepson goes around blaming his son for the car fire last night. Have to love being woken after night shift and find yourself in the middle of a **** storm
