  • NSW Hook me up a mk1 to put a VR6 in.

    Hey guys.

So now my mk3 is finally on the road I got a spare vr6 engine I can't sell and don't want to scrape considering there somewhat rarity in australia.

So! Someone please hook me up with a cheap/donation:p mk1 golf!

Body mostly in good condition. Rust in easy to fix places, (weld in plate etc)

    Thanks.

This sounds like it's gonna be a sweet project, hopefully you can get your hands on one.

I thought about the 4mo bora for $1500 but to much to do the rear set up.

I really don't understand why someone hasn't bought that bora. What were you gonna do with it?

Any of those would be sweet, I wanted to buy it and put it into a cheap mk4 cause that's probably the easiest and put the bora front end on if it's not ruined but don't have the time, space, money and ability to do it.

Yeah that's it. If I had enough room. Id buy that bora now for the laughs and wait until I had a car to put it in. With the way mk1's are being sold now the bora would be sitting for a long time.

you will want to check with your local RTA, but in VIC it is illegal to put the VR into a mk 1 (capactiy to weight), ie. non-engineerable.

From my understanding. It is Possible in NSW. But thanks for reminding me about that. Digging around the vortex made me forget we have rules in Australia.

                            That's what I'll be using.

Then if I don't wire up my ms3x for my mk3 soon I'll probably use that for the mk1.

Mk2 would be easier, but I just hate the rear taillights.
