Yeah man.

Took a chunk out near the drivers side headlight.

Luckily only the bumper was touched.

I rather a new bar rather than repair mine!!

1. Trailer truck went into a right turn fast on a yellow light (saftey camera intersection)
2. I was closely behind of course as i did make it before the lights turned yellow.
3. Truck then upon turning proceed to turn "SLOW" to straighten up
4. I was too close at the time he was straighterning up and his rear lower metal bar clipped my front bar.

Being my fault, not gonna bother pulling him over, he had no damage.

Cheers Jed, That bar is the US spec bar, I'm after the EURO spec with the windows washer cut out.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but the EURO spec bars look a tad more aggressive or do I have bad eyesight lol!

Looking @ $1400rrp from VW Stealers for a EURO bar. ECS aftermarket EURO bar is about $1039 without shipping.

Theres a plan B at present, so waiting for that.!!

Wouldnt mind a R line rear bar with the centre diffuser though!!

I was able to source one from Melb through my panel shop, he made an enquiry about getting mine repaired, and lucky the melb guy said he had a genuine OEM one primed ready to be painted.

So I should have a new front bar painted by mid-end of the week.

Then need to mount the Cupra R lip, wait for the paint to cure and then apply some clear film as I hate stone chips....
