Hi All,

My name's Josh from Sydney.

I have owned several VW's in the past
*2002 golf
*2010 TSI (Mrs car)
*2012 TSI (Company car)
*2012 polo (get around for Mrs)

I am now looking for an MK1

doesnt have to be immaculate but minimal (or no) rust or major mechanical work

kind of like a project car just that I can respray, put some nics stock rims (restored) and redo the interior to an original looking condition

pretty much a character car that is mechanically pretty reliable and wont break down every all the time

I have a friend who had one of these that didnt have a problem for 4 years since hes had it, also I know a VW mechanic whos a good friend so he will do the minor work

I just want to drive it to and from work (only 2-3) days per week


Any suggestions??
