I'm located in Melbourne, can travel within reasonable distances.

Have you also considered a 9N3 Polo GTI? Same engine.

You'll find a very good GTI/A3T with that money. $15k can even get you an S3, there's quite a few on carsales

Rayray, for some reason our dollars dont go as far down here in Vic, I've found cars just seem to be a lot cheaper in the other states, and not one S3 for sale in Vic for under $15k at the moment, otherwise I'd snap one up and to hell with needing a 4 door
