VIC Golf / Passat VR6 ABS Speed Sensor

Hi all,

I've sold my Passat and need to get it sorted for the new buyer. I need a rear wheel ABS Speed Sensor, P/No. 191 927 807D. (P/No is the same for Golf or Passat -up to and including 1995)
I ordered one from VW yesterday and they sent the wrong part Turns out there are none in the country.

I will order one from ECS or GAP if I can't get one locally, but I really want to get it sorted urgently so I can move it on to the buyer (fellow forum member!)

Can anyone help?

How do you know it's duff? Is it physically broken? Or been snagged by a scanner?
You may be able to clean it. If you look under the back seat you will probably find the plug, you can measure the resistance of the sensors with a multimeter. Compare them all. About 1 K ohms IIRC.

Will do. It was scanned as faulty. I have my fingers crossed that the scan is correct although I know these units are fickle.
