Chasing a drivers door lock cylinder to suit the above, mine broke today winding down all my windows in the process, now have to lean through the passenger door to unlock the drivers door.
Brisbane is preferred.

Has the lock actually broken? It could just be that the paddle at the back that goes into the micro switch has broken off. It is quite common and an easy fix. You can get the parts on EBay cheap if you are prepared to wait or probably for less than $40.00 from VW. I had to do both sides on my Vento.2001 Bora 4 Motion Sport now used by number two son

Yes,
100% correct, the Paddle should be okay, the actual Lock Cylinder has a cast hole in the inner part,
which normally breaks, the Paddle locates into this Cast Hole.
Just a matter of removing the old Lock and refit the Lock Wafers into the new Cylinder and then refit, with Paddle attached.
