VIC Golf Mk1 fuel tank

Hi,

I've checked on vagcat and the gti tank seems to be the same as the diesel tank, can anyone confirm this?

If this is the case does anyone have a diesel fuel tank without internal rust and preferably a working swirl pot (eg swirl pot still has rubber plug in the bottom)?

Yes, the diesel and Injection petrol tanke are one and the same.

I believe you can get them new from Volkswarenhaus - Tank Golf I GTI 95 20 01 9


I have a few here but they will need a great deal of rinsing in Caustic to clean them out
