  • VIC Wanted: 16" wheel to suit MK4 as a spare

    Wanted 16" wheel to suit a mk4 pcd 5 x 100

Needed as a spare, condition not important, bigger than 16" fine too

Standard GTI alloy would be perfect as it needs to fit over 312 mm discs

Cheaper the better, or I'll bring your favourite slab, I live in Geelong and happy to pick up from Melbourne area or meet half way

    Thanks Stan

not all 16s fit over the 312mm from memory. OEM is the way to go for sure.

thanks guys, yeah i was thinking of oem alloys that were on the mk4 gtis, which is what is on the car.

I can always swap a rear wheel in case of a front blow out and put a spare on the rear, but changing 2 instead of 1 seems painful

Hey mate, I've got a spare 16" wheel from an Audi A3. This design:

It's been sitting in the spare wheel well most of its life and doesn't have any marks. I think it has Michelins (or Pirelli P6000, not sure) on it at the moment and still has plenty of tread. Can send it down for $50 shipped if no one local to you has one?
          Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.
          Present: Mk3 Golf variant.
