WA K04!!!!!!!

Anyone got a new or low k's K04??
Must be KKK or good quality brand, not some no-name $400 POS off ebay.
I had a spare which I was getting rebuilt but it evidently has a cracked housing. Boohoo.
Genuine number is 06A 145 704Q and comes off Audi S3/TT AMK/BAM engines.

K04-001 I think is what he's after, nice upgrade for the early 1.8T engines.

I'm not interested in any Garrett or APR upgrade units guys, just a straight up standard 2002 8L S3 1.8T k04 like the one I have on the car already, except not buggered.

Specific to AMK and BAM engine codes.

Yea saw one on there but I'm trying to find out if it is actually the right hair dryer for the AMK. They list it for a Passat and have no option for S3 or TT!!???

Well, it's listed under the Mk4 GTI, as long as it is transverse, should be right. Dont they list the OEM details?

Just checked it out and their tranverse K04 is an upgrade version for the Mk4 GTI, which is a different shape to fit the back to front charge piping. So it MUST be S3/TT specific.

You right Wade, you looking for a K04-020/023. The manifold-turbo bolt pattern is different to MK4 GTI's. Just checked, ECS dont list anything for S3's on their homepage. Try Frankenturbo, They sell the full kit for $1100US and their turbo's make more power than the stock turbo.

Some of their graphs are a bit confusing and are too complicated for me to understand, but on paper they dont look as impressive as the stock turbo's?? Although i do admit to knowing 4 5ths of f@#kall about turbo mapping!

Are you running their gear on your mk1? How did you get on with the qpeng?
