Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • ACT WTB - Looking to swap a MY02 Subaru Liberty B4 for a Mk5 Golf TDI

As the title suggests, its a longshot, but thought i'd post it up. I bought this in October, but have decided that i actually want and wanted a Mk5 TDI.Happy to add on a up to $2k your way.

    Here's the B4

    Car:
    2001 (MY02) Aus delivered B4
Engine was replaced at 150k with an imported motor (by ACT Automotive and Offroad centre) at which time the following was undertaken (have receipts)

Import Engine fitted with machined flywheel and Exedy heavy duty clutch
Timing belt service (water pump, timing belt kit, sparck plugs etc)

In October 2011, the head gasket started letting go, so KOS sent it over to Techworkz to work his magic. At this point in time, the following was done:
    Headgasket replacement and assoc items
    ARP headstuds
    New rotors
    CV's
Alloy radiator (will never overheat again)
    Timing belt service etc
    (receipts included)

Since purchasing, I have added the following:
    New front brake pads
    Added an Ultrex lip
Changed the Works to MY05 GT Wheels with rwc tyres.
Added a pioneer 7" 6 stack DVD player
    Painted the grill.
Spare set of 17" WRX wheels with Federal semi slicks (was going to be hill climbed)
    2002 Version 7 STI TMIC

The car has ACT Rego to Jan 12, but will have 3 months added.
Has 200,500k's on it, but thats on the body, the engine would have 100k on it.

Contact here or via mobile 0420 528 125.

Also, I have a complete V7 (2002) STI Engine package ready to be dropped into the car which I will sell at below replacement cost to any buyer/swapper.
