A mate of mine is chasing a k03 turbo in good condiition for his 1.8t passat.

Plenty of things go with them , blocked feed and returns, chipped impellars due to ingestion, broken actuators, bad N75, broken N75 wires, Sucked together pressure hose due to soft aged hose, bad actuator, seized wastegate and the list goes on. Just condemned one for a bad wastegate, hmm was quick for a bit till boost cut. Anyone needing extra crankcase ventilation???? Look for inline mate

I have a good second hand one, it does need an actuator though
KO4s are back order still and I have ordered a few for stock

I have a working k03-005 /w 150,000km

It's been taped up/sealed for the last 2 years & has never seen over 8-9psi (stock) boost.

What's your mate's engine code? APU or AEB?

What's the turbo he pulled that's gone bad? They are either k03-005, or in rare cases, k03-029. Both longitudinal cars (A4/A6/Passat etc).
