  • VIC MK1 hub, and misc

Hey guys, my driver side front bearings are pretty much destroyed, and my hub just shakes around.

Im chasing either a set of brand new bearings (rhd front) or a hub with good condition bearings. Price and postage isnt an issue, as i have no choice but to replace it.

Im also chasing a black carpet, in good condition and a black mirror, for the passenger side. A door seals/rubber is sought after

Finally, i know its a slim chance, but incase anyone at all might have crystal clear angel eye headlights..

Im located in sunshine, vic (3020).

    Cheers fellas !

A brake place shouild be able to press in a new wheel bearing for you.

Last one I paid to have done cost $60. (I just handed them the hub and did the removal/install myself)

These days I just buy the bearings ~$25 and press them in myself.

Quite often the drive flanges are stuffed too if the wheel bearing is very badly worn. You can still buy them new too.

Also if you do find someone with a spare hub, you'll need to make sure it's got the same size balljoint as your car. There's two sizes 15mm & 17mm.

Pete, i got quoted $60 just for one bearing, from bursons. I dont know where to get the bearings for $25?

Also, i'd assume that i have to remove the whole hub, in order to find out the size of the bearings (15~17mm)?

Damn.. surely someone has a complete hub, with good flanges and bearings?

I get mine from GAP when I'm ordering other stuff.

        GermanAutoParts.com

There's a Daewoo that uses the same bearing the part number is something like DW100 from memory, they might be cheaper.

Try a bearing place too, they can be cheaper than Bursons.
