Well I guess we all have different takes on value for money

Eurospeed are the only (official) supplier on the East Coast of Australia, so I can't see it being any cheaper than that here...

Not sure if you will find many for sale second hand in aus.

$300 saving is probably a bit of an exaggeration. You cant discount the cost of freight etc. The VF unit is all 1 piece so shipping would probably be $100 or so as its bulky. Id be surprised if you land it for less than $400 once you take into account all the bank fees, freight etc.

But yep its always going to be the case that its cheaper to order direct yourself until the market grows to support real volume here.

Yeah true its more like $380 landed but no other fees, thanks paypal! I would have expected prices to be more competitive in Australia due to increased attraction to overseas market as a result of the strong aussie dollar, would only help the aus market but oh well.

The only thing strong Australian dollar does is make it more attractive to buy direct unfortunately.

I've only seen it happen in really high volume industries. For example, computer parts. But then it's come at a great cost of losing competent staffers on hand in case technical issues etc arise. There is still some great places out there... but they often still have premium parts with built in margins that enthusiasts are happy to buy regularly. But anyway, this discussion has been done to death in countless threads and never changes anything.
