From what I've read the R32 brakes aren't the best if you truly want stopping power as although they are an extremely large diameter ( you will need 18" wheels to fit them ) they are only twin piston. A smaller diameter disc with a 4 piston caliper like a Brembo Kit will be better but....You need to honestly ask yourself how badly you really need the bigger brakes? A good set of slotted rotors with some better pads will be more than enough to cope with the small increase in power you're planning and some spirited driving. Are you really planning some wild power increases and serious track work??? If you're like me and just want some nice looking brakes to fill up the massive gap in the wheels with a possible slight increase in braking as a bonus you can't really go past the R32 kit from ECS tuning as they are very affordable. If you're willing to wait I will eventually buy an R32 brake kit for my GT so when I do you're welcome to buy my brakes off me - front and rear will be up for sale and they are 312mm up front ( from a GTi ) and 255mm at the back so even these will be an improvement on your stock TDI.
