Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

MK3 Coilovers

Just a warning: Be careful with hottunnings, from my experience (bought some several years ago for a mk3 - lasted a few months before i got rid of them) they were crashy and very bouncy. I would suggest you save and buy a real set of coilovers. I ended up buying some H&R Ultra Ultra lows out of the USA, cost me a bit more than double the Hottunnings but are based on Bilstein shocks. Very comfortable!

I have bought my second set of Hottunning from evorobin, First set for my mk3 Cabbie and now for my mk4 GTI, Good bang for buck.
H&R Ultra Ultra lows???? I would say that you lowered the hotties far beyond what was meant for them. Be realistic here the lower you go on coilovers the harder they get... My cabbie sits low enough for me and its solid to say the least, but i expect it because it is low..

MOST people that buy Hottuning are very happy with the result I'm pleased to report. Just last week I put some in my B5 Passat and find the ride to be awesome & certainly better than the Weitecs I had in my golf.

Well, my vento is lowered quiet alot more than my golf ever was on its hottunnings. At the end of the day, hottunnings are always going to be a budget product which is why they are so cheap. You get what you pay for...
As I said before, this is not a jab at Evorobin or anyone else.Current: 2001 BMW E46 M3 6Speed, 1992 Mercedes Benz W108 300E 2.6

I had my sump sitting an inch off the ground and the frame was starting to notch itself/wheels were burning through the wheel wells ect. on hottunings, they go plenty lownot particularly comfortable i must admit though
At a sensible (legal/4WD) ride height they arent to bad though. I do dream of Ultra/Ultra Ultra lows haha, although if i were to fork out a couple grand for coils, i think i may go that bit further and put it on air
Anyway ill send you a pm karasigpic
