Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    NSW WTB/EOI - MkV OEM Xenon headlights (or OEM Dynabeams or projectors)?

    Hi,
    Just figure I'd offer to buy a set of MkV OEM Xenons or failing that, OEM projector headlight housings with aftermarket HID kit.

    Does anyone have a xenon-equipped MkV that you are trading in soon?

    I can offer my OEM headlights as a swap plus a fair value of cash, if this suits. However beware my lights are the standard silver housings rather than the GTI blacked out housing.

    Might suit someone trading their car for a new car.

    I'd offer around $1k plus trade of my headlights for a used, complete OEM Xenon setup, which doesn't sound like much but might be worthwhile for someone doing a trade. I'd estimate it would cost me around the same money to just buy OEM projector headlights and a HID kit anyway.

    No worries if nobody's interested - just figure it's worth checking if anyone's interested in selling while there's still a market for it.

    I hope you know its not as simple as a plug and play - you'll have to fiddle around with the wiring and etc..
    but if your serious i can get you the genuine ones at a good price

      Hi Daniel, I'm aware of the required 12-to-10 pin adaptor cables (such as those sold by tmtuning.com) and am kicking myself I couldn't get the lights from someone on this forum when he offered them earlier this year.

      Just the OEM headlights (which I could then get aftermarket HID kit) - or the headlights plus xenons, plus the self-levelling sensor for the axle, plus the washers.

      Send me a PM if you can advise pricing but I expect that even wholesale prices would be much closer to $2k+, more than it's worth to me, but let me know anyway.

        Anyone trading their car and wants to offload their Hella projector lights or xenon lights?

        Otherwise I will buy Hella oem look projectors from Germany.
        They are just under $600 shipped!
