Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I don't see you needing a block for a leaky core plug. Dig it out clean it up and ft a new one.
What's the K-jet head to go on, nothing in your sig would use one? The K-Jet and digifant heads can be swapped around in a lot of cases. I have done it myself in the past.

well its a kjet engine !! just means if i change it to digifant it will be alot of hassle to get rid of the injection system ? and the fuel supply !!! thats why i was considering to stick with a jetronic head, also if the core plugs leak wouldnt that be a rusty block ?

Probably have one here however it would need an overhaul ( valves + seals ) before fitting to the engine block. Have you got the original head off and had it checked ??
        Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

        Cheers,
