Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • VIC mk 1 cabby seat

I need to do something about my drivers seat, it's shagged.

    SO

I'm after a good direct replacement, or maybe a passenger seat and I'll swap some bolsters over. Preferably something that matches.

    Cheers

    Jarred

Would love a set of sportline seats!
That seat looks better than mine did, I stitched mine up. Even the vinyl bit, takes time but you hardly notice it and saves it from getting worse.

my bolsters are actually damaged though. you feel the metal when you're getting in and out, hence I want another complete seat to swap or patch it up.

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

                Cheers,

I think i have a spare glovebox door with the hinges on it, if it is the actual glovebox "box" then you will need to either find a whole dash, or a damaged dash that you can get the "box" out of as I had to do with the 93 cabby repair i did here. Look in the restoration forum, its in there somewhere...

Watsons will charge about $70 to Melbourne as a minimum size package. Will get you a quote when i have sent you some pics.

PM me your email addy dude.
