  • VIC MK1 Windscreen!

So yeah, I'm seeking a replacement windscreen (no chips, scratches, sandblasting etc.)

Just thought I'd ask here before I go spend $200-$300 on a new one.

PM me if you've got one you'd want substantially less than $2-300 for.

    - Jace.

If its just a generic windscreen you are after then just call around for the cheapest quote. It makes no difference if you use a national brand company or your local guy, generics are all the same quality.

The Mk1 windscreen is held in place by a rubber seal which can generally by reused. It has no accessories or electrics and is a very basic installation. Even the most incompetent technician could not get this wrong.

If you had a current model my advice would be totally different.

      Hope this helps

        Oh cheers for that input!
I think my seal is fine, and I have a spare anyway. I want to buy a screen and have a go at fitting it myself/with help.

I appreciate some professional advice. Thank you sir.

It's not too hard to fit it with the help of a friend. if you're going to get a brand newie, just get it installed at the same time, save you mucking around with it. whilst it's not hard to fit, it' can be trying and take a more than a couple goes

          edit:

          ebay might be your friend
