NSW WTB: Drivers side engine mount for Mk1

Hey guys.

I need a drivers side engine mount (not the insert, the mount itself) for my Mk1 to suit my 16v. I had to sell the one i had with the 1.7 because it was part of the alternator bracket.

To be honest, i don't know if they are all the same or not. I haven't experimented with a lot of different engines in Mk1's previously.

Don't care if it's dirty or ratty looking, aslong as its not broken and straight.

I think this is what i'm after. I honestly can't remember if this is the right one. Can someone confirm?

There's a few different ones. That's one of the 1600 ones.

You'd probably be better off finding a diesel one and modding it, either that or a late campaign/cabrio one as they've got the larger mount.

Depending on your alternator setup you'll need the corresponding bracket on the block.

I'll take a dig around tomorrow.

It's one of those tri-way things Chris, ...if you had've kept this mount and plate, I'd kept my old one and Pete would've needed one for my old donk!!

I have one spare if you get stuck Chris and a gearbox mount aswell if you didn't get one when you got your box..

There's supposedly a harder rubber diesel version of the 64.4 one too.

Thanks, Marty. I did get a LHS gearbox mount off loon when i got the other stuff.

Had to pay extra for it.. He doesn't give anything away for free..
