Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Am after a working radiator to fit a Mk1.
I got one with a cap on it, so no expansion tank. but if you ave everything to set up that setup then that be just as good

Dont need fan as i got one.

Im on eastern side of melbourne, doncaster
I have no idea where to go and car gets hot so can pay fuel for someone to drop it off

    Cheers
    Dan

      I need one too actually.
Dan if you wanna get rid of that one (if it's healthy) i'm after one with the cap on the rad. itself, without an expansion tank.
Also Mark, if you can source me one of those too! I sort of remember talking radiators and stuff with you.

      Thanks guys.

the one i got works, but it leaks a little bit, and when you take cap off you can see a crack down the lefthand side.
I got a overheating problem so want to start replacing bits

BTW i got one sorted, just have to go pick it up

IH8 your welcome to my old one for nothing

Not sure if it would make MY overheating problem better or worse!

But thanks, I'll keep that in mind.
