Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hey guys,
Need some wheel spacers for the Mk1 ASAP!
Just fitted coilovers and my wheels don't fit, I need at least 10mm spacers I think.
Will need to get longer wheel nuts then I guess.

They sell them in autobarn but the centre diameter is too big.

    Any help appreciated
    Cheers

Your Cabby bolts should be long enough...I checked and found my Cabby bolts are longer than std. Mk 1 bolts, that I got from a wreck the other day. I've been running the 10mm spacers from Autobarn on the rear with no probs....you just need to centre them, by either sticking them to the back of your rims (yes, a tyre shop did this to one of mine) or just by manually moving the spacer in place with a screwdriver..as you rotate the rim..prob. no good for your front wheels, but I get no wobble(or out of balance) on the rears.

    Good luck
