Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

      What year model polo?
      They change.
Early ones are drums and same as SEAT
The 98-02 Model has the hub and bearing complete as a bolt on unit.
      The part number i have is 6x0 501 477.
      Brand New $80 each.
That is the hub and bearing complete and should fit onto your VR6 Stub axle.

the hub part number is from a 9N/9N3 not a 6N. Soo yeah current shape and the pre facelift model most likely

            correct guys

This thread is because I want to upgrade the disc size and thickness and also want to be able to change out the disc without having to replace the bearings everytime.

I found this diy, however I'd need the later 5x100 hub and then just use maybe some front discs of the vr6. This sounds feasable right? i've done vage research

I think the below is what I need:

            l-stub-6n0501117
            r-stub-6n0501118
            2 x hubs-6q0598611
and either the early(280mm) or later(288mm) vr6 discs.
