  • NSW Polo GTI Mag

Seems my car didn't come with a mag spare for whatever reason, does anyone have a spare wheel (with or without tyre) laying around? Its just the standard 16' Polo GTI mag.

    Thanks

    yeah, in my boot...

I'm not fussed about the spare being the OEM as my wheels are not standard.

If you can find me a suitable spare (17", 5 x 100, minimum 38 offset) to replace it, I'm very willing to discuss.

You'll find that you'd be hard done by to find a 17' that fits in your wheel well, my VR6 cannot fit anything besides the 16' (yes thats right) safety wheel in the bay.

VR6/A3/MKIV 15's will fit over your brakes, so consider a spare from one of those if you're having trouble.

Any hints on what cars might have that that wheel you are after noone? Can it be just a steel wheel or some type of mag?

          Something nice

A single Audi TT (series 1), early A3 (newer ones have different PCD), this sort of thing.

I sometimes look on ebay in the wheels / tyres section and search for '100' or 'audi' as this can yield some results without searching through pages of cr4p.

I'm not sure why a larger rim would not fit in my wheel well, but have not tried.

I can't go smaller than 16 and many 16's wont fit as I have Audi TT brakes on the front.

Mine has rubber on it, I would need rubber on the new one to be a proper spare so be aware that anything you find will need a basic tyre on it (allow $100).

Found a couple of Subaru mags, lol. I'll have a look around, see what I can come up with. Not interested in a straight sale? lol

I'm sure a stealer would charge you over $300. You can have my spare for that, I'll even throw in the rubber thats on it!

But seriously, an Audi TT or A/S3 wheel would be ideal.
