SA WTB hatch strap for '76 golf

I've been after one for a while, but all I've come up with is incompatible later model parts. The one for mine is rigid rather than floppy and looks like this:





It won't glue back together. Even superglue doesn't work.

Please let me know if you have one or have a lead or any suggestions.

These are available new from a number of sources (I got mine from the UK) you should be able to pick them up in aus from some one like Golf loon or GTIMK5 (Andrew).

Thanks. I had looked at that seller, but didn't find anything. They seem to be the only ones their type on ebay.

Also, these are the later model straps that are different and incompatible. Note in the pics above the rounded end that clips/slides into the parcel shelf, and that they're relatively rigid all the way along, not floppy and flexible like the ones on ebay.

That's why I asked if anyone has some original Aussie '76 ones that they don't need. They don't seem to be around anywhere

Hey mate, only just saw this thread.
I have one left here only, new. I have bout 12 of the GLS type as the 76 versions became harder to obtain.
