WA Anything to lower my mk4 GLE Golf

Hey im looking for anything cheap that will slightly drop my golf and firm up the ride... anyone have anything? im thinking springs would be the cheapest option..?

Generally speaking I think all MkIV springs will fit your car - the difference is the weight of each car and thus different springs.

For example, I fitted springs that Eibach said were for the 10v V5, even though I have the 20v. They suggested that it may go lower at the front than with the 20v springs, but the front looks fine to me. It saved me over $300 getting the 20v springs.

One is for the GTi/Auto - turbo and auto trans mean a heavier car than the 2.0 probably
The other is for the 1.4 & 1.6, so the springs are for lighter car.

Keep in mind the 30mm drop that they quote is an estimate and this is the maximum it will go down. So the 1.4/1.6 springs may go lower than 30mm or they may not. I only achieved 20mm drop, but my shocks were already screwed.

Also - installing lowering springs will most likely cause your stock shocks to wear out a lot quicker as they arent rated for those springs

Send them an email as they are very helpful and will most likely tell you what to expect if you fitted these springs.

just had a look the guys said the reason the stuff on this site is cheap is because its old stock so i can get springs and shocks sent to me for 1k....for german quality and its $45 bucks postage

im going to pedders sometime this week to see if anything is broken or needing to be replaced. its 130 on the clock and havent changed a thing so im thinking if i lower it it will just crap itself
