Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

No mate, im not selling them but you can order from here http://www.velocitymotoring.com/links/wheels.htm.

Take advantage of the strong Aussie dollar and get yourself a decent set of wheels. The VRM look pretty good on our cars. Make sure you have browse to the velocity gallery for ideas.

Not sure if the VMR wheels actually come in 5x100.
They only seem to be fitted on 5x112 cars so you might not have that much luck.

Miro wheels come in multiple bolt patterns though.

Yes you are correct sir. I don't think you will be able to fit the VRM wheels in your car as they only come in 5x112 and 5x120

I think these would look great on a MK 4.

I had a hard time choosing between these and A8s, the Mrs helped make the decision in the end.

I like both those wheels but the thing is my car is just a 2.0, so I'm trying to stay away from the sporty look and keep it simple, thats why I like the S8's so much, they look really nice and plain, yet in a larger size. I don't want to give a false impression of performance haha

Love the wheels and the shade of blue of the car! Very nice.

Anth: Tempe tyres is a good suggestion. They have a good variety of wheels and prices are very reasonable.

okay, so no one can get me the S8 copies that I want, thinking about the RS6s now since not many people run them. Anyone got pics of RS6 18" wheels on a black mk4 4-door? (as seen below on the left)

other option is the RS4 wheels on the right hand side of the pic, but they're getting a bit dated IMO

what do you guys think? RS6 wheels on a black 4door golf? I've got coilovers sitting at home, just need wheels!!

                        edit:

                        I'm really not sure!

If you can get the RS6's in the 5x100 fitment i would definitely go that way.

They ooze class and that design will never age.

the problem is that a lot of the pictures we use for reference are probably genuine wheels with better offsets and a nicer finish than the replica's we get, plus the cars they're on are always slammed. I really wanted to stay away from a 5-spoke design, but the rs4's are getting old

aarrgg the dilemmas we dubbers have to face haha

If you want a change i would definitely say go for the RS6's if you can get them in 5x100

Even at stock height they are going to look nice becasue they aren't sporty wheels.
