Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • WA WTB KR 16V Extractors

Hi Guys, chasing a set of extractors for a KR 16 valve motor, would prefer a set of tuned length units as this is going on a motorsport engine making big HP. pm or email me guys

You will need to grab a mk1 set, ones from mk1 or mk2 rocco's will also work.

I got a set from Marty(twin eng, twin turbs) that look awesome(havent used them yet) he might be able to help you out, he custom made the set. Otherwise you may have to look overseas, make sure you get ones that are made for RHD as LHD won't fit.

        Best of luck mate.

These are the only RHD specific ones I know of. Supersprint do one for the MK2 Scirocco 16V which was LHD so I don't know how well that woul dfit, if at all.

I have also seen it done by using the MK2 cast manifold and the top of a MK2 down pipe, welded to some mk1 downpipes.

            Cheers

Rocco cast manifolds will fit, as Gavin say's the headers/extractors for a LHD wont fit for RHD without modification.
              Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

              Cheers,

                            thats a bummer.

Would have thought there'd be some off the shelf RHD items with all the conversions they do over in the UK and Europe
