Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Make sure you flip the tie-rods too if you're planning on extending the ball joints.

tie rods normally connect to the hub over the top. you flip them so they come up from the bottom, and so teh nut is on top.

Installing extended balljoints or flipped tie-rods without the other could cause heavy bumpsteer, so it's only recommended to do both. Basically keeps the tie-rod angle as level as it can possibly be to the lower control arm. If you want more info on this, I'd be happy to dig it up for you.

Email on the website is dave@pmwltd.com. If they still don't want to reply to your emails, call the guys up on 0011-1-303-828-4546. Ask for a "Volkswagen Lower Ball Joint Extender" and a "VW Bumpsteer Kit for A1 chassis".
