VIC Wanted Pair/Full set Chrome Mk1 Bumpers

I'm after a set of chrome bumpers/end caps and brackets(if required) to change over my 1985 Cabriolet from plastic bumpers to an earlier look.

I'm prepared to swap a whole 1.8 litre engine(in running condition), both manifolds, carby and front section of exhaust, for a good set.

Any takers???

Be prepared to pay big $$, mate
I can't help you with full set, but I have 2 x brand new rear bar and a couple of end caps (no bracket and other rubber strip). If you have no luck to source full set and want to collect bits and pieces to glue them together, PM me.

I have a front and 3 rears if interested but as redmk2 said, they are worth a little more than a 1800

thre is no way known they are worth that much... to get a crap set and to re role them and re chrome them is only $280 each...lets be realistic thats more than what you would pay for a whole mk1...

i bought 62 blade type bumpers for my beetle...much harder to find than mk1 bumpers. in perfect nick for $300 with the brackets!!!

I bet Carbon Fibre bumpers hold up well in a crash.

Mind you, I saw a Mk1 last week with wooden bumpers.

I have New or rechromed Chrome bumpers galore, but they sell overseas for $1000 for a complete set with all the rubbing strips, endcaps, irons and blinkers.

Bit cheaper for aussies who just want the bars, but they are still dear.
