  • NSW WTB: In.pro (Inpro?) Chrome Full Mirror Caps for MkV/Passat

    Has anyone grown tired of their inpro chrome full mirror cap replacements? Gone to carbon look or just trading in?

    I'm hoping someone trading in their car might want to sell theirs.
    Too bad I missed out on someone else's - which I was told got traded with the car.

    (PS. if you have these, regardless of whether you want to sell, let me know by PM - I'd value your opinion/experience and tips and one day you might want to sell!)
    Bizi's Jetta TDI: Blue Graphite w. factory leather & tint, plus + Enkei Racing NT03+M + Yokohama S Drive 18s, Koni FSD, Neuspeed coils, GTI RSB + brakes, InPro mirrors, VW navi, Modshack. Come for a drive through the twisties on Saturdaze.

    I have a few sets of the inpro chrome mirrors on their way over from Germany at the minute. ETA should be around 1 or 2 weeks depending on how long they get held up in customs. Price will be around the $150inc GST.

    If youre interested shoot me an email through to tim@dubaddiction.com.au and I can send you a courtesy email once they come in.

      Thanks Tim!

      Does anyone else have these on their car?
      Robby Jai's R32 looked great with them (brushed to match the R32 front) and I'm interested to see them in a theme, like bright mirrors/wheels/grille, contrasting a dark colour car.

          Interesting! Are they actual Inpro ones? Cos that price is cheaper than anywhere ive ever seen before! Not just cheaper. Like half the price!

          Shipping is also $40US according to the site. Is that what you paid?

              Sorry, yes comes to AUD $100 all up, and the same as the ones sold at dubstopimports.com as well (their shipping may be cheaper).

              I think they are, but will pop one off and check. The quality and fit is good and i'm fairly fussy and not worth spending too much on these as the finish isn't real professional once you brush them.

                if they were genuine they should have come in a pretty Inpro box.

                Oh and im not trying to cry foul. Just dont like seeing stuff on ebay for stupid cheap prices. If its going to be the case I wont waste my time with Inpro gear.

                  Mine didn't come in a pretty box, but your price is still very good compared to OEMPL.US which are US$240!!

                    Bargain! Can you confirm the sale price and shipping? Note that the auction link has the following costs:
                    VW GTI Rabbit Jetta MK5 5 Chrome Mirrors Cap Housing
                    Full Replacement Caps Made In Germany

                    Price: US $47.90
                    Shipping: US $39.90 Australia Standard Int'l Flat Rate Shipping
                    xe.com Forex rate conversion right now:
                    US $47.90 -> AUD$57.94
                    US $39.90 -> AUD$48.28 (ouch!)
                    Total USD$87.80 ->$106.25
                    (after credit card forex charges I'd estimate it to be just over AUD$110)

                    Crappy phone pic, but you get the idea
                    (actually they need a bit more brushing):

                    At AUD$110 landed, brand new, who wants to sell me some used ones?

                      The ebay seller can confirm it (It's not me).

                      Yeah $100 is too expensive for used ones if they only cost $100.

                      It's a shame you cant buy brushed or satin finished mirrors - i'd pay more for that and chrome looks a bit cheap/doesn't match anyway (but nice on some cars).

                      If you're going to do DIY, I don't see the point of buying expensive caps in case you stuff it up.

                        I meant to thank you for the info and the pic, G-rig.
                        Your car is my favourite combo right now. Nice, subtle mods.

                        I did look at this seller yesterday (they have a few warehouse locations and eBay IDs IIRC) on eBay UK; this US source for the same shop would appear to be a lower cost than the UK one.

                        Thanks - and please report on your satisfaction with the mirror caps. I note oempl.us has an install guide for the inpro ones.

                        Where do you see these caps, on a scale of nice - > rice?

                          No worries Bizi, and thanks for the compliments. I don't want to change the look of the car too much from stock, but just a few things to customize it.

                          I have't seen the in.pro ones first hand so can't say if they are any better, but for a DIY mod i couldn't see the value. I haven't had any problems or complaints at all, but still intend to do a clear coat spray as they pick up water marks easily but haven't yet found a matte spray.

                          I don't find them too ricey as the Audi's have them.

                            I notice that HK sellers on eBay.com are selling the plastic, 'chromed' tape-on caps for as little as $1.19 plus $17.90 shipping!

                            [FYI I'm not advocating $1 parts on a $20k+-$45k+ car!]

                              ^Obviously those will be ****.

                              Whats the point having two exact threads on this Bizi, there's one on Golf mkv as well (which is the better website).
