5speed gearbox

Hi all,
looking in the not too distant future for a 5spd box as my old 4 spd has developed a whine in 3rd and 4th. Any info on cost and availability would be great.

have a look on ebay...there was a guy in SA with a rebuilt 4 speed that was $0.99 last time I looked.

A Mk1 passat engine is north-south. Golf engines are east-west.

You need one from an Audi 5+5 vinderlaker. They are getting pretty rare now, most have been scrapped.
