Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • VIC RESPONSE PRECISION 1000WRMS Linkable ClassS D Subwoofer Amplifier

I've got a brand new Response Precision 1000Wrms amp.

I had plans to use it in its linkable mode where they would makes 1800wrms but I changed my mind.

    I use ONE of these in my mk1 with a Soundstream T5 12 and I've done 140.2db

    Looks something like this:

    * Speaker short, over current, thermal and DC protection
    * 4 AWG power terminals

    @ 1 ohm mono 14.4V: 1000WRMS
    @ 2 ohm mono 14.4V: 600WRMS
    @ 4 ohm mono 14.4V: 300WRMS
    @ 2 ohm linkable, dual mono 14.4V: 1800WRMS
    Signal/noise ratio: >90dB
    Input sensitivity: 150mV to 6V
    Low pass filter: 30 - 250Hz @ 24dB/octave
    Subsonic filter: 10-60Hz @ 24dB/octave
    Bass boost: 0 - 12dB @ 45Hz
    Phase shift: 0 -180°
    Pass thru RCA: No
    Dimensions: 306(L) x 178(W) x 58(D)mm

    Cost $300 new.
    I'm looking for $200 +postage

This is what one (not the one for sale, the one for sale is BRAND NEW) looks like in my goof

I also have an older model with the same specs but smaller heat sinks, used but works perfectly.
    $150 +postage.

Spyda mk1 was pretty out of control when I heard it at SEDF last year. Good luck with sale!
