Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Audio - Alpine Sub and Amp

Alpine Type - R 12" Sub in Genuine Alpine box to suit, 1500watt max, 600 wrms
Works fine, great sound, not sure if it’s just my set up, but a very hard and accurate sound (compared to the normal 'doof doof')
Carpet is rubbed a little in one top corner, very minor. Never been screwed to floor or had amp screwed to it. Never distorted.

    Alpine V-Power, MRP-M650 Digital Mono Amplifier, 1200watt
Again works fine and in near perfect condition
May still have a manual/instructions for the amp, will check.
Also have some home made brackets made from 40SHS bar to fix amp to the underside of boot shelf in a Bora (shelf has a curve/bend in it)

These were both fitted to my Bora at the DOVW08, together have an amazing sound. And can keep up with some fast bass notes where other fail.
Will find some pictures and further details in the next day or two.

Asking $800 for the package. Will split if I can sell the sub first.
I live in Bairnsdale, East Victoria. But often travel to Ballarat so drop off could be possible.

    Cheers, Dylan
