Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    SA Free Mk1 Golf Auto Trans - Pickup Adelaide

    Hello all, sick of tripping over this and needs to go. Pickup from Clapham this weekend otherwise it's going to scrap.

    Mk1 Golf 1.6 GLS automatic trans. Removed from running car approx 1 year ago and has been stored since then. Trans would select gears and move car backwards and forwards (couldn't drive car on road though because it had no brakes!). Transmission has been removed from motor in picture and is ready to go. Will be going to scrap this weekend otherwise. Have an engine crane for easy loading or I can arrange delivery within 10km of Adelaide CBD for a nominal fee. Engine number was FN167712
