Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • SOLD Two Sets of H&R Sport Springs to suit MKV Jetta, Golf and other VAG models

I have for sale two sets of after market H&R sport springs (four springs per set) that came off my MKV Jetta TDI.

I am selling these two sets separately (so you have a choice)

The first set lowered my car approximately 30-35 mm. The H&R part number for this set of four springs is 29261-1 and within this set the individual part numbers are 29261-1 VA(F) for the front and 29261-HA(R) for the rear. These springs are black in colour.

The above springs were on my car for just over 3 weeks before I plucked up enough courage to swap them for a more radical set of lowering springs - according to H & R, these would lower my car by 45 to 50 mm.

These are blue springs with the H&R part number for this set of four springs being 29261-1 (within this set the individual part numbers are 29260 VA(F) for the front and 29260 HA(R) for the rear.

As far as I can determine these springs lowered my car by 35 to 40 mm (not the full range as promised but I was happy)

These springs were on the car for approximately 40,000kms and are still in great condition.

The black set of springs are going for $200 while the blue ones are going for $250.

I am not looking to sell these as pairs or a mixture (must be the matched set of four springs). Local pick up can be arranged but I can also arrange postage (but will cost more). Please PM me if you are interested and provide me with a post code so I can work out the shipping costs if this is required. The first buyer gets theirs in the H&R box. The 2nd set will be supplied in a generic box (both will be well packed).

Before anyone purchases these springs they must check that they are suitable for their particular vehicle (see www.h-r-com)

I am happy to answer any further questions. I will also try to add some photos as soon as I work out how this is done.

    Cheers,

    Jacques

    Hi Jacques

Do you perhaps have any photos of you're Jetta with the 30-35mm springs in?

    Thanks

However it looks like the 30 - 35 mm springs have been sold. Just waiting on payment and pick up.

The 2nd set of "lower" springs are still available.

      Cheers, Jacques
