Mine is the same but without the small black lip, it attaches with double sided tape along the front section of the spoiler. My sister has a MY16 Polo GTi and I just tried it, sits above it so will fit no worries.

Sits above the black wing, attaches to the white part of your spoiler.
I noticed you are in Victoria, I'm not keen on shipping as I don't want spoiler to be damaged in shipping.
