Thanx to the Mrs rashing this up when it was all of 6 weeks old I made her buy me a new one ( lucky me that gave me a real spare ). Now car is gone I no longer have a use for it so if you want a real spare for your VW then here is your chance. Your responsibility to check suitability for other models.
Damage is purely cosmetic. Tyre is legal enough for a spare but wouldn't buy it intending to use it for much more than that.
