Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • VIC FS: Leather Mk5 GTI DSG Steering Wheel

Hey guys, got a new steering wheel so this one is up for sale.

It doesn't come with an airbag. It'll fit Mk4/5/6, but if your car doesn't have paddles, you'll need a steering control module to activate them. Obviously the paddles are inactive for Manual Owners.

Looking for $320ono, located Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, and I can help with the install if need be. Shipping can be organised at the buyer's expense.

I'm in Eastern suburbs. Would it be suitable for manual?

Not interested in any more? Of course it'd work with a Manual, just the paddles wouldn't operate. You can entertain yourself in traffic.

Fairly sure you could hook the paddles up to whatever trigger you felt like if you had enough time and knowledge.
