  • QLD Eoi: shaved mk3 golf bootlid

Hey guys. I have a spare mk3 hatch here, some spare time, a tig welder, a decent amount of body work experience and an itch to weld up some sheet metal, so was thinking I might shave it even though I don't have a mk3 anymore to put it on.

Could shave as much as you like (just the wiper, wiper and badge, or wiper badge and the plastic piece as pictured)

(To shave the handle you will need to run an electric solenoid to open the boot, which isn't all that hard)

Would be shaved properly with metal welded in and the smallest amount of filler possible, sprayed in 2k primer and block sanded down ready for paint. For the right price with your paint code I could even paint it in 2k.

Price would depend on what you are wanting shaved, as doing the handle is a lot more work than just the wiper or badge.

Let me know if you're interested and we can make it happen

How much for full shave and delivered in primer, delivered to 6230, or Perth city? I've been itching to get a shaved bootlid for Jessamy's VR6.

Will have to get some postage quotes and get back to you, Im happy to do it and ship it, though I'd rather sell it to someone in Brisbane as panels like this are easily damaged in transport. I couldn't be responsible for any damage in shipping (this is sort of thing I'd recommend getting the postage insurance on, when I use to work in parts we would occasionally see panels get a little dinged up from rough couriers regardless of how well they were packed)
