Hmmm, staggered fitmit on a Tiguan? These on the back & my usual RE050A 245/40/19's on the front?

Anyone care to comment on how such a staggered fitment affects handling etc?

Staggered fitment is not a problem at all MGV. Wider tyre = more contact = better braking IMHO.

These are a bargain at $600 for the pair considering Tempe Tyres wants $950 a pair and Spinning Wheel Tyres want $600 for each tyre. You can most certainly also run a 265/35/19 on the front of a Tiguan also.

it may cause faults with your traction control/active stability. not to mention wider tyre = less contact in the wet. There is a point you can go before the weight is spread over such a large surface area that you have a negative effect.

up to you though, fantastic tyres!

I know, i've had them on my car for 60 000km's, can't fault them. Robbie, will let you know before the weekend. Are they 'run flat' technology? I think they are made in both run flat & (whatever the word is for not run flat)...

Hey Robbie, have done a little research & think i will pass, sorry...

Apparently the minimum legal width a rim needs to be for a 265 wide tyre is 9". I am running 8.5's. It is supposedly do-able, though... But illegal?? Must be illegal for a reason. Also, the circumference would differ by a small percentage.

Good luck with sale, they are a high quality tyre at a good price.
