Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

    SA Savannahs 19x9 et33 freshly resprayed

    Posting this on behalf of a mate. You may have seen these photos on the site already.

    Reason for sale - either swapping to 18s or considering downgrading the car - yet to be determined!

    Will consider swaps for 18s of appropriate et and width.

    Savannahs 19x9 et33 5x112. Originally from a Tiguan but currently on a Rocco.
    Tyres Nexen SU1 Asymmetrical which have done about 5000kms. 235/19/35.

    These were bought from this forum and have been powder coated due to surface scratches. Now pristine apart from a tiny 5mm curb rash on one wheel.

    Wheels only: $1000 ONO
    With tyres: $1400 ONO

    Will cap shipping at $100 but he's happy to sort out the difference if it's cheaper than that.

    They didn't last long.

    If i had some 18's to swap then i'd take them back in a heart beat, lol.

        I have some 18" RS4 Reps if you're interested in putting these on your car. These should be close to correct offset as they've come off a Tig.

            Hey guys, these are my rims.

            I love the look, just too old for the harshness now with the vwr springs. I may even return to stock springs if smaller/lighter wheels doesn't improve ride (and too poor to afford kw coilovers!).

            Tiggy what offset are those reps? Are you looking to sell or swap?

              Must Stop Buying Stuff.....

              Although i've always loved this wheel!

              That rubber looks a bit skinny on a 9" wheel, were there clearance issues on the Roc with 265 wide tyres?

                I had always wanted these so jumped onto them when they showed up on these forums.

                The tyres were carried over from my stock rims. Yep, maxxed out on the stretch department. I think 245 would be a better option. for the ROC.

                      Hey mate - I'm interested in these to replace my stock 18x8 ET45 Omanyt rims on my R36 - complete with Pirelli P Zero Nero's (90% tread up front! about 75% on the rears).

                      I'm a bit of a newbie and was wondering what the best way to ensure that I wouldn't have problems with clearance, how much they stick out etc?

                        I think these might poke a bit too much on a Passat. The rim is an inch wider (1/2" further in and 1/2" out) plus the offset has the wheel 12mm further out. The inside of the wheel will sit in the same place , however the outside will be shifted by 24-25mm... which is a lot.

                        I believe the only Passat that may be able to accommodate these is an Alltrack with the plastic guard extensions. But happy to be proved wrong.

                          R36 Omanyts are ET44, so the extra poke on these is 24mm.

                          A common swap is to look for Scirocco wheels (eg. the 19 inch Talladegas are ET41).

                          It's a shame, love these wheels..
