NSW Gearboxes 2 02a's and 2 020's

As title states I have 2 020 and 2 02a gearboxes. 020 gearboxes are out of a mk2 golf gti and a mk3 2l, both drove fine and couldn't feel any problems. Both 02a's are out of 16v seat cupras, one has a 2nd gear crunch, other felt fine when I drove it. For the 020s I'm looking for $450, for good 02a $1000 and for one that will require a new synchro $650

Just curious if that's the going rate for 02a's? I have one myself I might be looking to get rid of too.

They're quite rare here in aus, I had offers of Round $1200 before I put the 02a in my car. So I'm guessing $1000 would be about what they're worth

a 4cyl O2A is a bit rarer than a 5/6cyl O2A, and prices would reflect this probably.

Ahh yes that's what I meant. Should've probably stated they're 4 cyl

I sold mine for the price it would cost me to get a TDI 02A from the UK (minus shipping) - wish I'd put it up for more!

That's always a risk ordering from over seas. All my gearboxes I have driven the cars they came from and know their faults if any and I have stated them. Question is that for your 1.8t? If so why didn't you go cable change 02a? And why the tdi box?

I've got reputable sources in the UK - bought a few boxes over here and shipped them over. I'm going TDI for ratios and strength.
