Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    QLD MK6 Climatronic HVAC assembly

    Hi guys,

    I have a climatronic unit from my MK6 GTI for sale. In perfect condition and works fine was only replaced due to an upgrade to the newer MK7 version.

    Includes Climatronic unit as well as the centre console/dash plastic cover. Can be used to in MK6 and can also be fitted to Mk5's. Note that Mk5's need a new dash facia cover.

    Located in Brisbane, looking for $100 + postage.

        One thing I've always wondered about the Mk6 unit (in a Mk5) is if it is capable of leaving the AC on auto when you hit the recirculation button. The (my) Mk5 unit can't do this and sitting in traffic on a BNE summer's day, it's a bit annoying.

        (My other car can do this but it's a Mazda)

          Super easy. There are a few guides online but it's pretty much plug and play. I had to do some vcds work but others haven't had to .
