wow you made a mess of them hey! haha

I want some detroits but i think one would spend over $500 just getting these repaired to an acceptable standard!

Wasn't me! I had got them to a point of being in good condition haha. I had them looking good but I did a half arsed attempt at stripping the paint off as it was starting to peel off. All they really need is just a half decent DIY paint and they will look good; even plastidip would do the trick. This pic is when I had them looking acceptable:

        errr?

you could easily strip the current paint and re-paint for about $40 in total. It doesn't look as if there is any major curb rash or chips/chunks missing from the edges.

What about if u want to restore them to the original finish? That would cost a bit I'm assuming?

Yeah these won't be able to be taken back to the machined finish look. I thought of maybe using a vinyl wrap to achieve a somewhat similar look but I never bought them with that intention. These are best kept as a set of wheels that are painted IMO. As mentioned, a decent paint job on these would be suffice to have them looking good on your car

You can get them back to original machined finish, try someone like Depulu wheels on the gold coast, but you'll be paying somewhere near a thousand bucks to get that done I reckon. Possibly better off having them refinished by the same people in a different colour scheme to OE, like a painted silver face with black inside. With such a large surface area these wheels really need a quality finish.

More effort than I'm willing to put in though! Lol

I have heard of a few places being able to replicate the machined finish however I just don't see the point of doing so with this set. I agree that it's too expensive to go that route. These are more a quick cheap/quick DIY project for someone who's looking to get into some wheels that aren't stocky alloys that are 15" haha.
