This is an Oettinger Tuning box that came off my 2010 Caddy.
Unlike other products offered on the 'net, this tuning box does not simply raise boost, or trick the mass air flow sensor. This tuning box taps into crucial parameters like mass air flow, fuel pressure, injection timing, exhaust gas temp, air/fuel ratio, boost pressure and electronically makes adjustments to bring you more power.
This means power is bumped up from 75 to 89kw. Torque is up from 250Nm to 295Nm. Fitted on my Caddy for less than 2 years (I upsized to a Caravelle) this unit worked flawlessly and gave me that extra punch especially in the lower/mid revrange. This torque was great and it meant I use a higher gear, or be able to maintain speed while climbing hills even with a load of 7 people on-board.
Oettinger is the longest established tuner for Volkswagen. They were one of the first to offer a power upgrade for the latest common-rail 1.6TDI engine in the VW/Audi group.
Installation is easy. All your connectors are VW/Audi factory plugs - simply plug&play, 12+, earth, ignition and away you go. This unit will not register any fault codes or trick around with software flashing, and is completely reversible.
