  • NSW Steering wheel boss - unsure of fitment & a TIG / MIG flow gauge

Bought off ebay a few years ago, & seller disappeared shortly after I started making request to return it because it was incorrect.

was supposed to suit a '72 beetle, but this couldn't be further from that.

Your steering shaft would need to be somewhere in the 26 - 27mm range, measure with verniers but hard to get an accurate size due to the splines.
No of splines on your shaft need to be 86, so obviously pretty fine.

only identification is VW-4A on the box.

Have recently been advised by a member on the aircooled forums that:

    Fitment for : 1996 - 2003 Audi a3 (8l)
    1996 - 2001 Audi a4 (b5)
    1998 - 2009 Volkswagen beetle ("new beetle")
    1998 - 2006 Volkswagen golf (mk4)
    1999 - 2006 Volkswagen gti (mk4)
    1998 - 2005Volkswagen jetta/bora (mk4)
2006 - 2009 Volkswagen jetta/bora (mk4 only; still sold in some markets outside usa)
    1996 - 2005 Volkswagen passat (b5/b5.5)

    Check pictures

$5 plus postage to wherever it needs to go.

Also have a flow gauge for Tig / Mig welder $5 plus postage

    Located at Old Bar NSW
